Hi, have you seen this quote in Vienna already? It is located in Blindengasse 22-24 along tram line number 5.
The quote is written in big letters on a gym hall of a public school and exists since 2005 as an art project by Julie Hayward.
But I have to say, I am not very happy about the quote. It has a negative tone (don't try, second rate apple) although it carries some truth, of course.
How can you know, whether you are an apple or a banana if you have not tried?
Or more likely you are a mix between an apple and a banana? What about that? So better do not overrate this quote ;)

I read it the first time I was in Vienna, by a case.

Well, maybe I'm just a bitter trans woman over-interpreting things, but this made me cringe. A lot of transphobic narratives boil down to "you'll never be the person of the gender you feel" and this is so fucking toxic.
